World Diabetes Day

The International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organization designated November 14 as World Diabetes Day in 1991 in response to the growing prevalence of diabetes in all human societies. This day was registered by the United Nations in 2006 as an official day in the world calendar. World Diabetes Day is the largest diabetes awareness campaign , held annually in more than 160 countries around the world with a specific focus and slogan chosen by the International Diabetes Federation . The main goals of this campaign are:
Extensive information to communities, politicians and stakeholders around the world to pay special attention to diabetes
Extensive information on the activities of the International Diabetes Federation and the role that this organization plays in raising world awareness
