The Proper Wound Management saved a patient’s leg from being amputated

A university student’s sole was fractured when a bus drove over her foot. Following this accident, she was hospitalized from 24.sep.2013 till 13.oct.2013. Unfortunately, due to the lack of enough attention to the clinical situation of the patient (severe edema of extremities which had led to blood circulation blockage), her leg was extensively infected and she was informed that her leg had to be amputated. The decision provoked the patient’s intense reaction. After that, because of the extensive necrosis (from thigh to ankle) she went under several debridements and grafting was done for her.
After the grafting procedure, the wounds of patient were managed by Hartmann advanced dressings. This was done by the companionship of Iran Pharmiswound experts. In fact, the therapy of the patient by Hartmann dressings was done during the patient’s hospitalization and after her discharge as well. As a result of this treatment, her leg got saved from being amputated and started the healing process. Among the products that were used in the wound management of this patient, we can name Tenderwet Plus (to remove the pseudomonas and klebsiella), Hydrotac (for granulation tissue healing), Atrauman AG (to remove infection from the patient’s thigh) and Hydrocoll (to protect the tissue in its transition phase from granulation to epithelization).
